Leonard “Lenny” Cote is a Licensed Pastor and Certified Addiction Counselor through the Certification Board of Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Evangel Theological Seminary and brings more than 30 years of direct and indirect experience in social services, substance abuse services, and mental health, including more than 20 years dedicated to pastoral care.
Lenny’s approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in a commitment to helping people feel heard and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. His background in behavioral health and ministry allows him to bring practical experience and a faith-centered perspective to his work with individuals and families.
Since December 2003, Lenny has served in pastoral care at Church at the Springs in Ocala, Florida, addressing the practical and emotional needs of the church community. Known for his approachable manner and strong interpersonal skills, he communicates effectively with individuals, families, and teams.
Before entering his current role, Lenny served as Outpatient Supervisor at LifeStream Behavioral Center in Leesburg, Florida, from January 1993 through December 2004. He oversaw three outpatient clinics providing day and evening substance abuse treatment services. Earlier in his career, he served as Residential Director at Youth Challenge of Florida in Wildwood, Florida, from May 1987 through November 1992, overseeing care in a long-term residential rehabilitation center.
Throughout his career, Lenny has helped teams navigate changing organizational environments while keeping the needs of those they serve at the center of their work. He values meaningful relationships, clear communication, and compassionate support.
Lenny and his wife have been married for 43 years and have two adult children.
